The woman have to wear a veil becaouse it is a religous symbol. Some one took a picture of Marjane's mother protesting and she had to die her hair so that no one could recognize her. She was demonstration against the veil that they where being forced to wear. Marjane wants to become a prophet because she talks to God and he told her that she is a prophet. Merjane learns that her grandfathers dad was a king. That king assigned his son to be the Prime Minister. Marjane's grandpa who, who became the Prime Minester, turned into a communist and was sent to prison.

2. My coach always tells us to "leave it all on the field" and "if you fall stand back up" try and make us play better. The whole point of saying that is to try and motivate us. Sometimes when we lose and we are disapointed he would tell us we played good and that we will beat them next time. Most of the time those words dont work. We realized that he has nothing to say so he would say to try as hard as we can and to not give up. Even though he makes us work out and run a lot, we kinda feel as if he isnt doing enought to train us. We came in #rd place last year an desided to keep the team and try to go for 1st. place this year. I just hope he finds another way to motivate us. 1. "If you fall stand back up."

In the movie Whale Rider Pai is living with her grandparents. Her grandfather, Pucker dosent like Pai because she is a girl and he wanted her to be born as a boy. Pucker wanted a boy because he wanted to raise him to be the chosen one. Pucker continues his search for the chosen one but dosnot find him so he becomes depressed. Pai prays to the gods and they come. A bunch of whales were stranded on the beach and the entire beach tries to move them back to the ocean. They cant do it so they leave. When the villagers come back they find Pai ridding on the back of a whale in the ocean. Pai's grandmother tells Pai's grandfather that Pai was the chosen one and showd him evidence. Then Pucker was struck with the truth and realized that he needed to be happy about it.
